60th birthday card

This was made for my father- in- law.

I used recycled packaging for the card base and male docraft stamps.

just a pretty little bookmark.

I made this as I would a card except I contacted it.

for someone who doesn’t like orange, I seem to use it a lot lately.

I do love this chair, it is so versatile for all the magnolias and once coloured red it could be  used for Christmas, just add some presents at their feet or Easter eggs for Easter or how about for that someone special just plain as above.

Once again, I have used Copic pens for the skin and my usual felt pens for the rest.  Of course my little lady bug friend also had to make an appearance too.

I think the sentiment says it all.

Fairytale Magnolia

I really like this card combination and funnily enough I don’t really like yellow but it works (well for me anyway).  I love the magnolia stamp but I really like the Tim Holtz stamp in the background.

  • stamps: Magnolia, tim holtz, stampin’ up
  • paper: Kaisercraft,’yes’ paper
  • ribbon: Martha Stewart
  • colours: copic pens, water colour pencils,
  • inks: stampin’ up, memento
  • other: tiny tags, glitter glue and gems.

Magolia sitting – a birthday card

As you can see my sewing skills are well a little bit to be desired. So are my skills at usings H2O paints.

Overall, though I am still happy with the way the card turned out. Plus my masking skills are getting much better.

For this card I finally used the free paper that you get in magazines. I set myself the challenge to start using up the free paper stash I have  plus some of the die cuts you get with them. I have also used my usual favourites of tiny tags and stampin up’ sentiments plus glitter glue and paper flowers.

Kindred spirits

I know another simple looking card but the sentiment really says it all.

I made this card for one of my dearest friends. One of the loveliest people you will ever meet.

A card for Sabine

sabine

This was made as a welcoming card for a new born girl.  I am not one for baby traditions unfortunately. I wanted it to portray more than a pram or rattle so I went for a 3D card that might inspire growth and happiness in a child’s life.

Birdie birthday

Birdie birthday

Sometimes I like the look and feel of a simple card. This was one of those times (also I was in a hurry).

It is white cardstock as a base, with red inked edges.  The label is spellbinders, Label no.4 in blue bazzil basics cardstock.  I really like the little pre-made flowers they are so easy to use, the are  made by docrafts. The leaves are handmade and the tags are tiny tags, stampin up.

I wanted to convey my message on the front of my card so I included my birthday sentiment down the side as an extra but trying not to over embellish.

my stationary container

Tash stationary

I finally made myself a container and matching stationary.

I used half a Kleenex tissue box (the one they recommend for cars and travel) . Then I covered it (unknown paper – but very cute), added some ribbon, stamps a couple of strips of magnolia cherry lace dohickey die, a gem and a lady beetle.
